About

The Catholic Citizens Committee (CCC) is a Catholic lay organization that is currently operating within Brooklyn and Queens, New York, working to further raise the Catholic voice in the public arena.

We are dedicated to defending and protecting the Church from unjust, unwarranted, and unfair attacks in the public arena and preserving religious freedom for all Americans.

We are dedicated to empowering parents to educate their children in the school of their choice and to supporting our Catholic schools.

“In the Catholic tradition, responsible citizenship is a virtue; participation in the political process is a moral obligation.  All believers are called to faithful citizenship, to become informed, active, and responsible participants in the political process.”

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Administrative Committee, Faithful Citizenship: A Catholic Call to Political Responsibility

We are dedicated to creating a culture of life in our nation and our state, and seek to protect the most vulnerable in our society, born and unborn.

We are dedicated to defending the sanctity of marriage.

“With fidelity to the teachings and spiritual authority of the Catholic Church, CCC will endeavor to be an active voice and force for Catholic values in the social, economic, and political arenas with the goal of becoming a more just society.”

Mission Statement of the Catholic Citizens Committee

We are dedicated to the belief, in accordance with the Catholic Church’s teaching, that the human person is central, the clearest reflection of God among us and that their dignity and rights should be preserved, protected and defended.

We are dedicated to the principle of supporting public positions of the Church and find guidance from the New York State Catholic Conference (www.nyscatholic.org) and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (www.usccb.org).

We are dedicated to identifying, informing and activating Catholics Citizens encouraging them to become involved in their communities and their government.  Our goal, in short, is to reach out to every Catholic citizen and inform and educate him or her about issues that are important to our nation, our state, and our communities.
